In their last edition (16/05) The Independent on Sunday asked several leading ad agencies to produce mock ups that could run during campaigning in any future referendum on electoral reform (specifically the Alternative Voting system proposed as part of the coalition between the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats).Once again the Independent requested Graham Lewis Creative Partner at Green to contribute to the feature. He was asked to produce 2 posters that could support the
Take Back Parliament
initiative and encourage a yes vote in favour of proportional representation.
See the results below ( Graham’s are the “loo roll” and “Churchill” executions ).
Commenting on the
Loo-Roll poster
Graham says:: “If your vote isn’t among the ones that get first-past-the-post you may as well flush it down the bog because it won’t count”

Political creative work featured in The Independent On Sunday
Shortly before Christmas, Graham Lewis, Creative Partner at GREEN, was asked by the newspaper to produce some speculative political posters for the forthcoming General Election: “to get a flavour of the political parties’ possible tactics, the Independent on Sunday asked six leading advertising agencies to produce these exclusive posters to give readers a sneak preview of how an election campaign might be fought.”
The result is a series of trenchant yet creative posters pre-empting the tone of the current campaign.
Graham comments on his poster as “A succinct one-word headline using a clever corruption of Dave Cameron’s surname. We want people to understand the simple message that he isn’t fit for No 10.”

Iain Patton Managing Partner at GREEN talks to Marketing Week
about Sustainability Communications
15 Feb 2010
In a recent article
Marketing Week asked marketing experts, what strategy brands should
adopt in these days of greenwashing accusation, scepticism and public
fatigue.
Iain, Managing Partner at GREEN, shares his expert view on
Government communications and
the current opportunities for brands.
Concerning the Act On Co2 Campaign, Iain says
"The Government's Act on
CO2 campaign was doomed to failure due to the disconnect between
marketing spend and real action."
He adds "
there's a real opportunity
here to do more of what the likes of WWF are proposing - a focus on
identity campaigns and a real look at consumption rather than just
green products.
