Client: ASDA
Project: “Green” senior management brief
One of the ‘hottest issues’ facing UK retailers is how they manage their businesses in a way that limits their impact on the environment, use natural resources responsibly and ensure that the products and services that they sell are ethically sourced.
For the past years Asda have committed themselves to more sustainable development and to reducing the impact of their stores on the environment. But they never jumped up and down and shout about it. Asda chose GREEN to support with them the design of the “Green” senior management brief. The key objective of the session was to let all the seniors managers know what they were up to and how they could help Asda to go even further in their drive towards ‘sustainability’.
At GREEN we consider employees as a company’s most important asset. Today most people want to work for companies that are good corporate citizens. Communicating Asda achievements and strategy was a key to empower their senior managers as well as increase their motivation.
We worked to ensure that the by the end of the “Green” senior management brief
all Senior Managers would understand the plans Asda have in place to
improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions and how they
could act to be part of the solution.
Appealing design and clear information was the key to catch managers’ attention and to create a two way dialogue.
GREEN design team created a range of design materials ranging from PowerPoint template to human size banners to help Asda presenting clear information and to arouse the interest of their senior managers. By the end of the session they were motivated and empowered to help Asda in their drive towards ‘sustainability’.
